Deposits are consistent of 60% of the total on your original invoice. The balance is due the day of completion (40%), unless credit history with client reflects need for full payment upfront, FUEL House of Design reserves the right for any changes to accounts as deemed necessary.
ALL deposit will be applied to the hours worked by said artist(s), and towards the initial consultation.
Projects that are not completed for any reason(s) on the part of the client(s) and or artist(s), the deposit will be applied to the hours worked by said artist(s).

Interest on outstanding accounts over terms of the account will be charged
at the rate of:
5% per month.
Discounts are made available to clients with good credit standing with FUEL House of Design, clients that are 45 days PAST DUE may be subject to removal of their discount for a period of no earlier and or later than 12 months.
All costs incurred for collections/recovery will be billed to the account holder, and or their representatives.
Please review your proof(s) carefully for spelling, graphic content, literal content, lyrical content, verbal content, any and all promotional/marketing specials. Once you have approved this proof, FUEL House of Design is not responsible for ANY mistakes found after this project has gone to print and the client assumes full responsibility for any errors or omissions.
FUEL does it's best to estimate costs, but if there are overruns or project scope changes that affect the project, the client is responsible to pay for all time used.

Agreement for Web & Graphic Design Services
This agreement is between
'Client'
(Purchasee) and 'Provider'
(FUEL House of Design)
1. AUTHORIZATION
'Client' is engaging above named 'Provider', a sole-proprietorship,
as an independent contractor for the specific project of developing
said graphic design (the service(s) are outlined in an email, then
quote, then billed as an invoice - at which time all terms and
conditions are agreed upon by action), web design, promotional, any
design of any nature.. The 'Client' hereby authorizes 'Provider'
access and "write permissions" to all directories and files of this
account.

The 'Client' agrees that the 'Client' is solely responsible for
complying with such laws, taxes, and tariffs, and will hold
harmless, protect, and defend 'Provider' and it's subcontractors
from any claim, suit, penalty, tax, or tariff arising from the
'Client's' use of Internet electronic commerce.
7. INTERNET ETIQUETTE
'Provider' is a developer of ethical web sites. As such, 'Provider'
will not design, promote, or attach links to any site that includes
adult content, nudity, obscene language or that encourages or
promotes intolerance or discrimination of or towards people or
peoples of any race, color, sex, creed or religion. Nor will
'Provider' design, promote or attach links to any site that
advocates, encourages or practices the exploitation of any group or
groups in society, including, and in particular, children, the
elderly or the disadvantaged.
8. AUTHORSHIP CREDIT
9. CONFIDENTIALITY
Provider’ may, during the course of providing services hereunder or
in relation to this contract have access to, and acquire knowledge
regarding materials, data, systems, and other information of or with
respect to ‘Client’ which may not be accessible or known to the
general public. Any knowledge acquired by ‘Provider’ from such
materials shall not be used, published or divulged by ‘Provider’ to
any person, firm or outside source without the express written
consent of ‘Client’.
10. ENTIRE UNDERSTANDING
This constitutes the sole agreement between the 'Provider' and
'Client' regarding its web design and graphic service. This
agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the
laws of the province of British Columbia, Canada.

Copyrights protect the creative property created by FUEL
House of Design, copyrights fall into FIVE categories:
(1) reproduction rights
(2) derivative rights, the right to create adaptations of an original work
(3) distribution rights, the right to sell a work
(4) display rights,
and (5) performance rights.
FUEL House of Design reserves all rights to works created for any and all mediums, for any and all clients.
When an article/work of graphic design is created the rights are automatically that of FUEL House of Design for the lifetime of the artist - plus 50 years. A common misconception is that a company/person would have to publish the work or register it to own the copyright.
All artwork created for and supplied to the client will be supplied in a "finished format", no changes will be authorized, no modifications will be authorized, this is includes logos, prints, posters, handbills, stickers, banners, web banners, merchandising, albums, websites, myspace designs, and all designs by FUEL House of Design are to be left in their original format or a "cease and desist" letter will be issued, in which you will need to immediately using the copyrighted work.
Unless otherwise specified in a contract, the FUEL House of Design retains the right to his/her/their creations. When designing a work for a client, FUEL House of Design is specifying the rights for use. No other rights have been awarded.. Copyright laws protect against additional use without proper compensation or agreement.
For example: FUEL House of Design designs a logo for use on a specific product package for a cosmetics company. The company likes it so much that they decide to extend its use across their entire product line. FUEL House of Design will charge for this additional use, as it increases the value of the graphic work you created.
For example: If a merchandise design is created - it is under the understanding that said design will be used for the sole purpose of that merchandise. If it is to be used for web purposes, the right must be purchased.
1) Reproduction Rights = $1500 (unlimited use)
2) Derivative Rights = $2500 (unlimited use)
3) Distrubution Righst = $5000 (unlimited use)
4) Display Rights = INCLUDED IN DESIGN PURCHASE
5) Performance Rights = INCLUDED IN DESIGN PURCHASE

You will be supplied with a proof, please review your
proof carefully for spelling, graphic content and promotional specials. Once
you have approved this proof, FUEL House of Design is not responsible for

and or paypal (fees are the responsibility of the client).
All returned cheques will subject to a $25 service charge as set forth by
our financial institution.

All files high res finished files will supplied upon receipt of final
payment.

any reason(s) are subject to a $250 consultation fee + taxes, covering the
cost(s) incurred by Carmen Mason, FUEL House of Design, and or any
contractor hired on their behalf, this includes but is not exclusive to
advice, planning, marketing strategies,
promotional strategies, formulation of business plans, time, and or any
materials utilized, used and or required by any of the above. FUEL House of
Design maintains all copyright to works created/devised/designed.
